General

• We only want active members. If you're not going to be able to get on at least once a week, don't join. Don't be one of those people who join, log in maybe once or never log in, and then never appear again. No one likes those kinds of people.
  
• Be respectful to all members around you, as well as staff members. Without these people, there would be no site.
  
• Please refrain from strong language. The amount of "curse words" that you may use are the ones that were used in the game Tales of the Abyss.
  
• This site is literate. This means all posts must be typed in correct grammar (English only), structure, and sense. NO CHATSPEAK IN POSTS. In OOC (out of character) is alright to a certain degree, but abosultely none in IC (in character).
  
• Spellcheck is your best friend. Use it often. nO oen wnats ot rp whith thsi!
  
• Please refrain from fighting publicly with anyone. If you want to argue with someone, take it over PM. No one wants to see it. Any offensive contnet will either be deleted or locked and stored away.
  
• Tales of the Abyss takes place in another universe, so refrain from your characters referencing anything modern like Soda, or KFC, or Manga, etc.
  
• T is as high as you are allowed to go.. NO MATURE CONTENT AT ALL.
  
• If your account has been banned or suspended from either the site or the c-box, it's probably for a good reason. Once you've been given the reason for the suspension/ban, you shouldn't badger any staff members for further explanations or to un-ban/suspend you. Begging will earn you a longer suspension/permanent ban.
  
• This site contains game/manga/anime spoilers for those who have not finished the game/manga/anime.
  
• If you have never played Tales of the Abyss, don't join. Although, if you have any general knowledge of it (have played a little of the game/read the first chapter in the manga/ seen a couple of episodes, that's fine, then. Someone will help explain everything to you.
  

Posting/RPing

• Outside of the board "Customary" There is to be absolutely no double posting. At all. Or triple posting, for that matter.
  
• No Powerplaying (Controlling someone else's characters' movements, speech, emotions, etc..)
  
• No Godmodding! (Your character can't die/take damage/doesn't feel pain)
  
• When plotting things for your character, make sure everything makes sense. Every action of theirs, every possesions needs a good reason to happen or be there. For example: a character wanting to avenge someone who died of illness.
  
• Don't write in wall-of-text format. That is, break up your posts into paragraphs to make it easier to read.
  
• This is an intermediate-advanced roleplay. All IC posts must be at least 150 words.
  This is what you don't want to do:
  

  Luke scowled at the monster, and charged in to attack it, yelling out "FANG BLADE!" and slashing at it until it fell apart.

  Scowling at the monster, Luke was too blinded by fury and annoyance for it to even bother thinking about what he was about to do. Dashing in blindly, he lobbed his blade over his head, smashing down on the monster and then calling out "Fang blade!" as he slashed up again, then landing lightly. He continued to cut the monster over and over again, mindlessly swinging his sword at the defenceless monster as it failed to defend itself. Eventually, he'd practically cut it to ribbons, and it disappeared. He then huffed a sigh of annoyance, mixed with a small sense of victory.
  
  "Just... stay dead," he muttered, glancing warily at the spot where the monster had been standing as he'd completely destroyed it. Finally confident that it was dead, he turned and started to walk away, still muttering to himself about how confident he was that he'd taken out that monster for good, and it was dead, and all that stuff.

  
  
  
• Romance is allowed, but only to a certain degree. No sex. No talk about it. Nothing. If you want to role-play it, do it over PM.
  
• If a posting order was established, KEEP TO IT.
  
• No post-begging. Don't beg members, OR staff members to post in a thread unless it has been more than 24 hours.. It may not seem like it, but most of us do have lives.
  

Characters

• FIRST AND MOST IMPORTANT RULE. NO MATTER WHAT, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE ANY MARY SU'S OR GARY STU'S!! These types of characters are considered "Perfect", and they have too many "good qualities. For example, they are superpowerful and everyone loves them, and they're so beautiful. All characters MUST have at least three "bad" qualities. ALRIGHT?! I can be nasty about that.
  
• Characters require seprate accounts. Creating an OOC account is not required but is reccomended. Thus, make an account with your character's name and make their bio under that account.
  
• Try to sign in under all of your accounts when you come on. It helps the site, and it's not that hard to do.
  
• You may have as many characters as you wish, BUT you have to keep them all active.
  
• Your character may not be a monster or an animal. They can transform into something, but they must be human most of the time.
  
• Your character may not have an ethnicity such as Chinese, Russian, Mexican, etc..
  
• The only additional language your character may know is Ancient Ispanian.
  
• If you don't want a character anymore, let the staff know so that they can move their bio and their posts to the archives.
  
• Your character may not have seventh fonons inserted into them and turn into what Mohs was.
  
• If your character is a seventh fonist, then they can control ONLY the seventh fonon.
